The Best (Super) Green Smoothie

Hi guys,

I've always been  enthusiastic about smoothies and their wellness properties. When I was younger I worked at a groovy little smoothie hut and I loved every second of it. I felt like a chemist of wholesome ingredients. My love language is through making food, serving people in a way that I feel can make them feel well, whole, and healthy! It makes me feel deep satisfaction and what better way than to make people feel good with a tasty smoothie reaping with vitamins, good fats, antioxidant properties and so much more!

Consider making a smoothie just like cooking and perfecting your favourite dish. I love taking my time on it and making it with love. It is such a satisfying part of my daily routine. I suggest throwing on some feel good music and perfect your smoothie. Throwing ingredients in a blender is easy and  time saving but consider the time and preparation an act of self love that you are about to give your body.

The Best (super) Green Smoothie
| Dietary Info: Vegan / GF | Serves: One |

Ingredients:

Greens - For this recipe I am using a mix of watercress, celery, and black kale and a green superfood grass powder (my powder is a blend of wheatgrass, alfalfa, kamut, and oat)

Splash of filtered or coconut water

1/2 frozen banana

Plant-Based Protein (optional) please note this will alter the taste so I recommend your first time making this smoothie to make it without protein

One tablespoon of flax seeds (chia seeds are great too)

One teaspoon of vanilla extract

One tablespoon of almond butter

One cup and a half of unsweetened vanilla almond milk

3/4 cup of raspberries

Optional sweetness: tablespoon of honey/maple syrup/agave

ALL INGREDIENTS CAN BE FOUND AT WHOLE FOODS

Preparation:

I like to blend all my greens together first. This makes the greens much easier to digest. Putting celery stalk, black kale, watercress, and my 5 grass powder blend into a blender, I add a splash of coconut water and blend until liquid.

Add banana, raspberries, flax seeds, vanilla, and your optional protein/sweetener

Add your almond butter

Add your milk. I prefer dairy.

Blend & Enjoy!
